The schools are quiet. Children and young people stroll along the High Street in my market town - often with a supervising grandparent in tow.
So it's time for a blog-break till the Autumn. I shall still be reading and writing. But I shall also use the long days to flop about in the sun:
To watch cricket:
And to play with grandchildren:
All of this add up, in my corner of the world, to the best sort of summer holidays! What about you?
Your summer break sounds idyllic Jo! Alas I am working all over the summer....boo hoo...buy on the bright side , I'm have a month in Thailand to look forward to in January!
ReplyDeleteThailand in January sounds wonderful. And I used to work in the summer - so do know what it's like. My sympathies!
DeleteLovely! I just enjoy being able to drive my 2CV into town and find a parking spot!!
ReplyDeleteCarol - sometimes we are easily pleased!
DeleteI can't grumble about lack of holiday as I've had the best one ever, but I will be mixing light work commitments with boaty stuff, so still lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteLight work and boaty stuff sound like a pretty good summer to me!
DeleteHave a good rest. I still have my holiday to come in a few weeks then I'll be blogging about my Malta Diaries.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading all about it, Anne
DeleteHave a lovely blog holiday, Jo!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny - and I hope you have a good summer too.
DeleteHave a terrific break from blogging. Your plans sound idyllic. We're just going with the flow, and going wherever the mood takes us... as long as we aren't away from home (and our cats) for very long. Day trips work well for us.
