As for Ireland ... there is something restorative about south-west Ireland that I'm not sure I can put into words. And so here, without much in the way of annotation or comment, are a few pictures.
Looking out at the lake from Ross Castle
Fuchsia (but you knew that anyway)
The Meeting of the Waters, on the Lakes of Killarney
The Gap of Dunloe
From Mount Beentee looking west, towards Caherciveen.
Then finish the day with a pint or two of Guinness and some wonderful music:
*sighs* Even organising this post is enough to make me want to go back!
(There are some more pictures on the website if you're really keen.)
Amazing! I want to go back to Ireland now... but I can't cause I'm suppose to be working!! It truly is the most beautiful land only surpassed, in my opinion, by the Highlands of Scotland. So glad you had a lovely time.
ReplyDeleteI did, indeed, have a wonderful time. One day, Ros - you must go there. (And there's no midges!)
DeleteIt's always such a gorgeous place when it doesn't rain. Thanks for these lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I was all set for rain, so unbroken sunshine was a real bonus!
DeleteAh yes... must get back to Ireland!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about the combination of blue sea and the colour of the land that is really quite magical.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and magical, Jo! Now I want to go back too…especially as there are no midges! That is scotland's only drawback. Just lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Jo. And the sun's still shining over here. :-)
